AVR USB Programmer (USBASP)

AVR USB programmer is an in-circuit programmer for Atmel AVR controllers. The programmer uses a firmware - only USB driver; no special USB controller is needed.

It is complete solution for programming popular AVR series of micro controllers with ease. It can be used with Low Cost ATmega development board for quick and economical startup with AVR micros.

Features of AVR USB Programmer (USBASP).

• Works under multiple platforms. Linux, Mac OS X and Windows are tested.
• No special controllers or smd components are needed.
• Programming speed is up to 5kBytes/sec.
• SCK option to support targets with low clock speed (< 1.5MHz).
• Planned: serial interface to target (e.g. for debugging).
• Compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. Both 32bit and 64bit versions are supported.
