Arduino is an platform that runs by Atmel microcontrollers. It has Digital and Analogue I/O ports to connect various sensors, Switches, Motors and Modules. You can develop various projects by communicating with PC’s. There are number of pre-made libraries are available at official Arduino site. Off course we can develop a library easily in the upcoming tutorials.

On upcoming Arduino Projects, we are going to utilize Arduino IDE to create and transfer the code to the Arduino UNO. The Arduino IDE supports Windows, Mac OS X furthermore Linux. To install this Arduino IDE software please download from official Arduino Site.

Arduino IDE has simple environment for easy programming interface, it’s very convenient for starters who want to start in Embedded Field. Arduino UNO Hardware

Arduino UNO runs with Atmel ATmega 328 controller, and it has Digital and Analog pins to interface various components and Modules as discussed above. Also it has power pins to power up the Modules easily. It has 16MHz crystal frequency  for high fast clocking. For USB communication it has USB to serial IC to use USB to TTL converter.

For Arduino board you don’t need any external power, it alternately takes from USB (Universal Serial Bus) when you have connected to PC. It has jumper for changing the Power source alternatively. If you stuck with Arduino some where you can easily reset by pressing Reset button. This makes all values zero in the controller and start from initial state.

Arduino IDE (Integrated Development Environment)

For Arduino programming, establishment are no required. We should simply extract the compressed file and separate it out keep it. Next, get  type B USB cable and connect to the Arduino UNO another side to PC.

Using Arduino for connecting External Modules & Components
