Magnetic Sensors are used for detecting speed, rotational speed, linear position, linear angle and position measurement in automotive, industrial and consumer applications.
Its is integrated into a small single chip and comprises detection for non magnetic metals, sensing range covers 100mm (millimeter), has high stability in terms of shock or vibration. It works on the principle of Hall Effect with Integrated silicon based Hall ICs containing the hall element and the signal conditioning circuitry monolithically integrated on one single chip.
Its biggest advantage is that it is not so complex with extremely long sensing range. These sensors can easily detect magnets through walls composed of non-ferrous metal, stainless steel, aluminum, plastic or wood.
